ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING EASIER?

If you are not interested in ice climbing, check also our classic tour to Korouoma Canyon. This nature reserve offers many beautiful things to see – not only the majestic frozen waterfalls. Walking through the Taiga forest allows us to show you the uniqueness of nature beyond the Arctic Circle.

Our professional guides love to share their passion and knowledge and answer all your questions about nature, Lapland and the life in the Arctic. Your guide will keep an eye on wildlife and flora. With a bit of luck, you may even spot tracks made by wolves, lynx, wolverines, moose, reindeer, weasels or Arctic hare.

Refreshments and some typical Finnish barbecue snacks will be served around the open fire to keep you warm. This is a great opportunity for the guide to show you how to build a fire as natives do. No need for matches or a lighter, the guide will use flint & steel and natural materials you can find in the nature that surrounds you (we can do this in conditions as cold as -30°C). This excursion lasts around 7 hours, including transportation, hiking and the time around the fire.

We always try to adapt the tour to your needs and preferences. Thanks to our focus on small groups, we can easily make the tour even more interesting. Check the video and tour details below to clarify what you can expect while visiting the Korouoma Nature Reserve with Wild About Lapland.
