That night, the weather conditions were really bad as a snow storm was hitting Southern Lapland. The chance to observe anything was ridiculously low. We therefore invited our guests to join for the next day instead, and cancelled the tour for the evening.
Hunting Northern Lights is sometimes very easy, especially when the sky is clear all night. Good weather usually means cold temperatures, so we better had to be prepared !
We did not have to wait long to see some movement in the sky. As soon as we got off the car in one of our favourite locations, the greenish arch started to strecth across the celestial sphere. Magical!
