This tour is one of our favourites, there are no machines, no loud noises, in fact, there is nothing but the silence of nature and the sound of snowshoes sinking in the deep snow. The Taiga forest is a truly peaceful wilderness, it is also a very large forest, spanning through Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, parts of Canada and Alaska as well as Scotland! and this forest holds one-third of the world’s trees.  So we feel that this tour is one of the best ways to share the Beauty of the Taiga/Boreal forest as you will physically feel and see how things work here, you will know how tough it is to use snowshoes for a distance and drill holes through thick ice to try and catch your dinner. The Taiga is no easy place to survive off the land but during your time with us, you will learn the basics.
