March is always a good month to observe the Northern Lights. The sky is usually clear, the solar activity is good as we approach the equinox, and the snow offers good photography scenery. Plus, the nights are more confortable for our guest as temperatures are not dropping into extreme.
Again, all our aurora experts who went out that night found the Northern Lights. The long green stripes were even crackling bright for a few minutes. Long enough for our cameras to capture their superb shapes!

Our aurora guide Bozo is happy!
Another clear night, another successful night ! March is definitely a great month for Northern Lights ! All of our aurora hunt guides easily found the precious auroras. Their arches remained very bright for a long time, and even displayed a bit of their best purple colours!
Everyone was as much excited as they were intringued. Around the open fire, our guide then explained them the reasons of those colours, the interactions of solar winds the the different atoms in the atmosphere and the physical process that creates those beautiful polar lights phenomena.

Look ! they are purple!
