A beautiful day to go canoeing  !

Today is a beautiful day to have a little adventure on the canoe. We drove 10 minutes to Saarenkylä and found a perfect little beach near a residential area.

Once on the canoe, we started paddling away on the KemiJoki. We observed ducks with their duckling and little fishes.

Then, we got the chance to find several swallow’s nests. We watched the adults going back to the nest in order to feed their babies. The nesting site was something very beautiful, as it was on the bank of the river with dozens of deep holes that they have their chicks in.

After a while, we even got the chance to take a swim in the river, the water was a bit cold but it felt really nice as it was a hot day.

We cannot wait for another sunny day to go on another canoeing adventure !
