Like the night before, the weather conditions were forecast clear. Nevertherless, as we checked the different weather reports in the morning, we spoted some heavy clouds blown by the winds from Sweden. In the evening, the latest report confirmed that the sky would be likely cloudy later in the night.
We then adapted the tour in order to escape as much as possible from those bad weather conditions. Our Northern Lights hunter teams left Rovaniemi a bit earlier, around 19:30, and drove 60 km northeast to enjoy a clearer sky.
Again, our efforts paid off! Immediately as we jumped off the van, we were welcomed by the beautiful greenish lights spreading over the horizon line. Good job !

If you follow our Rovaniemi Blog, you are already aware that we do not run our Northern Lights Wilderness Tour if there is a snowstorm and no chance to observe anything. So, for that night, we invited our guests to move their booking to the following night, as the weather was much more promising!
