FIRST SNOW IN ROVANIEMI!

Brace Yourself, Winter Is Coming!

It is the morning of 18 October 2020. Rovaniemi is waking up covered under a soft white veil. As we wander in the streets of the capital of Lapland, our footsteps are deliciously crunching. Snow has already arrived! Winter is coming!

Snowfalls are usual in this period of time in the subarctic region. October is a particular month in the Arctic calendar. It witnesses the sudden change between colourful autumn and the harsh winter.

We will probably have to wait a few more weeks before we may properly say that the Winter season has kicked off. But still, we may already enjoy the pure colours of white nature.
